More about the club... The club was started on September 21, 2006 which was kicked off with a informational meeting. After the meeting future members were taken in buses around campus and given a grand tour of the college and were informed of what the college had to offer for senior citizens. Ending the morning was a free lunch at the college cafeteria. A total of 45 people attended the kick off celebration and presently over 80 local senior citizens make up the club. BENEFITS Classes: Every third Thursday of the month there will be a class held that has been designed especially for senior citizens. It will cover a popular subject or issue. Please see the evaluation form to state a particular idea or interest that you would like to see available.
Newsletter: A quarterly newsletter will be distributed to those who become members. This will inform you of upcoming events on campus, classes and social events.
ID Cards: Once a member you can have your picture taken downstairs in the Admissions department which will then be put on an ID card. With this card you may receive discounts at participating business in Garden City. You must have the current semester sticker which can be picked up in the Admissions office. In addition, the card will allow you to attend any drama and musical performances sponsored by the college. Lost ID cards should be reported to Campus Security.
